Once upon a space . . . in the vast regions of time . . . the Lord instructed His people to build Him a SPIRAL STAIRCASE that would stretch from the face of the earth to the surface of the moon.
He provided His people with a COMPLETE — perfect in every way — INSTRUCTION MANUAL on how exactly to achieve His lofty goal for them:
“There shall be absolutely ‘no’ CUTTING OF CORNERS at any point throughout this building operation of ours!” said the Lord to his people.
“And it is of the utmost IMPORTANCE that this here INSTRUCTION MANUAL of Mine becomes the FIRST ‘Cornerstone’ placed in the foundation to My heavenly staircase.” said the Lord.
“There are to be absolutely no ‘Queen-Bees’ . . . none what so ever . . . taking part in Our building operation, from start to finish! . . .
Furthermore, there are to be no ‘Soldier-Ants’ partaking in Our ‘build’ at any point what so ever. . . .
For there are only to be ‘worker-bees’ — faithful servants — devoting themselves ‘fully’ to this here lofty building project of Ours,” the Lord said.
The Lord provided His servants with a specific set of instructions regarding the exact specifications . . . such as: types of materials to use; dimensions; whatnot . . . for each and every single brick that was to be placed into the Lord’s heavenly staircase.
The bricks were to be made from PURE gold . . . tempered exactly to 100 proof, to be exact — not 101 proof, not even 200 proof; not 99 proof, and not 1.01 proof either — because TEMPERING to anything more than 100 proof would only serve to degrade the structural-integrity of the bricks . . . making them too stiff and rigid to stand up to earthquakes and the like.
But TEMPERING to anything less than 100 proof would cause the bricks too become too soft and flexible to support their own weight under pressure . . instructed the Lord.
“God forbid, your defective bricks result in a complete structural failure of your-own design: come crashing down upon all of you . . . each and everyone . . . killing every last one of you,” spoke the Lord in His true ‘Poetic Justice’ fashion.
But without fail . . . the ignorant ‘builders’ . . . eventually becoming hubris . . . rejected the CHIEF CORNERSTONE — the Lord‘s INSTRUCTIONAL MANUAL — in their idle attempt to CUT CORNERS — which had been forbidden right from the very start — and resulted in all of our legendary folktales depicting the legendary “Tower of Goo-goo-gaga” still popular even today.

The disciples, bewildered by Jesus’ parables and wanting him to speak more directly, came closer and asked Jesus, “Why do you speak to them in parables?” (Matthew 13:10).
This is why He spoke to them in parables:

The Gospel of Mark highlights this division when Jesus told the disciples: “To you has been given the secret of the kingdom of God, but to those who are outside everything is in parables” (Mark 4:11).
The disciples must have been shocked by Jesus’ response, and if we are honest, we will feel that same shocking power today. Parables reveal and conceal simultaneously. They divide their listeners into two worlds. In one world, a parable reveals the secret of the kingdom of God. But in the second world a parable is still just a parable, nothing more.
We now see more clearly what is at stake in the parables and why Jesus used them practically every time he taught. It turns out that our response to the parables reveals everything important about us, with eternal consequences. Each of the parables is a shocking revelation of the kingdom of heaven, so if we hear the parables and all we hear is a bunch of “stories,” something is profoundly wrong with us.
